IN SEARCH OF THE CAVERN
The children returned to the village fete fifteen minutes late and Matteo was immediately scolded by his father.
"Young man, when I say to come back in an hour, that's what it means. Why are you late? "
"Beatrice fell and we stopped to soak her knee and put a handkerchief on it," he tried to lie.
The father looked at her, while she indulged in her mother's arms, and noticed that she actually had the knee wrapped in a damp handkerchief.
"Dario, don't overdo it" fortunately his mother intervened, before he could reply. "After all, the delay was not that much, it seems to me they had a good reason."
"Next time, however, try to keep in time, eh?" that's how his father ended the discussion.
"Ok."
"Go on, go say goodbye to your friends as we're going home soon," she said, smiling.
The next morning Federica woke up at about half past seven. The alarm always rang at that time because her parents loved to go to the beach early in the morning and they had to get up and have breakfast together.
During the day her parents had got used to not seeing her very often, now that she was old enough to have her little bit of freedom. The meals, however, remained sacred: being the only occasion when they all got together, in those moments the whole family had to be around the table.
As she was lying down for another five minutes between the sheets before her mother came to pull her out of bed, Federica thought about the incredible evening she had passed. The sailor. The abandoned lighthouse. The chest. The wolf. This alone would be enough to envy her city friends, when she would have told them.
She would never have imagined that this was just the beginning of her incredible adventures!
Armando, as soon as he woke up, turned on his computer and started to look for information on that famous wind from the sea.
He found the names of many winds: sirocco, south-west wind, the mistral, bora, north wind, but without finding the right connection with what was written in the message. Since Argus was from Albarossa, he thought it was the wind that blew in that area.
It was the south-west wind.
So he sought out news related to this wind, noting some photographs depicting the stormy sea. Among the various images that were running before him, his attention was caught by one of these in particular, which represented a sea cave with lots of waves breaking against it.
He looked at the photo and read the note again, until a smile apeared on his face.
"A sea cave, that's what it is!" he said snapping his fingers. Immediately he sent a message to Matteo, telling him to come over immediately.
The friend, in the meantime, had just got up and was about to go to the bathroom to wash, when his mother called him.
"Matteo, the phone. You've got a message. "
He went to read it and was amazed. "Clever Armando has done it, he's a genius " he whispered to himself.
